How Should I Prepare Before Epoxy Application Day?
We appreciate an open driveway for easy access with our equipment. Please remove all of your items & valuables that may be on or around the application area. Our team will work fastest in a clutter free space.
How Long Does The Epoxy Application Process Take?
For most project sizes less than approx 1000sq ft, our deluxe epoxy system requires 2-days for proper preparation & application. We also offer a 1-day epoxy floor application for certain situations.
What Should I Expect On Epoxy Application Day?
First day
Our team will arrive to the job site and begin preparing the work area, covering your surrounding floors with protective barriers and masking tape.
After unloading the truck, we will begin preparing your concrete for epoxy. Our professional prepration process involves using a special grinder, removing the top layer of the substrate to ensure a proper bond with the epoxy.
During the concrete grinding process, dust is normal. Our team uses a dual HEPA filter vacuum to reduce the dust particles.
Once the floor is clean of debris & contaminants, we begin applying the epoxy material in your selected color, along with any variation of flake chips that you have chosen beforehand.
Second day
On day two of your epoxy floor application, we will arrive back to the job site to inspect the cured work, checking the application of the epoxy for any potential quality defects or missed areas.
Once our team approves of the fresh epoxy application, we begin cleaning any loose material still remaining on the floor, making sure to vacuum all of loose flakes, dust & possible contaminants prior to applying a polyaspartic sealer coat.
We make it a priority to keep a clean work area during every stage of the epoxy application process, and we will treat your property with respect.
After Epoxy Application, When Can I Start Using My Floor?
After installing an epoxy floor, we typically recommend to wait:
• 24 hours before light foot traffic
• 72 hours (3 days) before moving light objects or light use
• 5 to 7 days before driving or heavy use
Is Epoxy Flooring Better Than Concrete or Tile?
We believe that Epoxy floors are highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, making epoxy an ideal choice for high-traffic areas and commercial spaces in comparison to most options in the same price range.
While a properly sealed Epoxy floor is highly resistance to chemicals, concrete & tile are not very chemical or stain resistant, & can crack or chip easily in an industrial setting.
Is Epoxy Flooring Expensive?
Compared to other similar options for your concrete substrate, we believe that epoxy and polyaspartic systems are a relatively cost-effective option per square foot.
With a professionally prepared and applied epoxy floor, you can expect to enjoy a durable and aesthetically pleasing floor for a long time.
I'm Renovating My Garage - When Should I Do the Floors?
We generally recommend to work on the floors first. Once your concrete or epoxy flooring is ready, then you can begin painting walls, installing cabinets and performing other renovation tasks. Having a clear floor space makes epoxy work much easier.
What If I Have Existing Cabinets Installed?
If you have existing cabinets, we can provide our best suggestion on epoxy floor applications depending on the depth, height and design of your existing cabinets. Some cabinets are wall-hung and do not affect the epoxy flooring process, while some cabinets make the epoxy application process labor intensive.
Does The Age Of My Concrete Flooring Matter?
Even a new home with a new garage floor will require professional preparation prior to application. The final result will transform the space with a unique look.
If your existing concrete floor is over 30 years old, but still intact and relatively in decent shape, then epoxy coatings or a grind and seal can bring your concrete back to life.

Our detail focused epoxy floor preparation, application & finishing process for our deluxe grade epoxy projects results in a long-lasting and easy to maintain epoxy flooring system.
SOLID EPOXY FINISH
Solid Epoxy Floors offer a more uniform and less flashy look compared to flake or metallic. Solid epoxy finishes are available in a wide range of colors. While additional preparation steps can be required, solid epoxy is a practical choice for high-traffic industrial & commercial areas such as businesses, workshops, warehouses, & retail spaces.
FLAKE & CHIP FINISHES
Chip & Full Flake broadcasts over epoxy flooring is the most common choice, and our recommended option for most residential applications like walkways, driveways & garages.
The combination of the final protective top coat and full flake coverage provides a consistent & long-lasting finish. Consider chip & flake epoxy flooring for your personal home or rental property.
METALLIC & ARTISTIC FINISHES
Metallic Epoxy Floor design is known for its unique appearance. If you’re looking for a floor that adds an artistic flair to your space, metallic epoxy might be the way to go. Metallic & Artistic Epoxy finishes can be the toughest to maintain over time, particularly in high-traffic areas. Consider metallic, cloud & artistic designs for interior spaces such as studios, salons & offices.

WE ALSO POLISH, GRIND & SEAL EXISTING CONCRETE FLOORS
Polishing, or Grinding & Sealing your existing concrete flooring are two alternatives to colored concrete coatings & epoxy flakes. The result is both functional & durable, while maintaining the more natural look of concrete, with a shine on top.
GRIND & SEAL CONCRETE
Our grind and seal concrete services offer a budget-friendly alternative that delivers impressive results for light-traffic areas throughout the San Fernando Valley. The grind and seal process begins with thorough cleaning and drying of your concrete surface. We then apply a thin layer of high-quality acrylic, epoxy, or urethane sealer – similar to painting. Once dry, the surface develops a glossy appearance as the sealer fills the concrete’s natural pores, creating a protective barrier against moisture and contaminants.
POLISHED CONCRETE
Our polished concrete services deliver exceptional results through a meticulous multi-stage process that creates stunning, long-lasting floors for commercial and residential properties throughout the San Fernando Valley. The polishing process for concrete involves using specialized equipment & tooling to grind the substrate in increments. Despite the high shine of polished concrete, it is not slippery, and requires less maintenance overtime compared to a concrete grind and seal.
